It’s September! The month that is the title of an Earth,
Wind and Fire song. It’s something about being the month that has the changing of the summer/fall seasons. Within the month of September, we have unofficially said goodbye to summer and may (or may not) have put up our white until the spring. We have also settled back into school and started our fantasy football leagues.
The month ushers in the transition into warmer, richer colors for hair, makeup and home décor. Candy apples, fairs and festivals emerge within this month. We begin to enjoy a new football season with our favorite high school, college and national football teams. We pack snacks and folding chairs to cheer on our youth soccer teams and we slowly start moving
activities and celebrations indoors.
I have always been particularly fond of this month for many reasons. I am a lover of fall foliage and I love that the crisp air brings about the time for some of my favorite fall wardrobe must-haves. I also enjoy the fact that a huge portion of my social circle celebrates their birthdays within this month. I would have to say that by far my most favorite reason for loving this month is because I got married this month. My husband and I invited a few hundred of our family and friends to “Fall in Love” with us. We also learned that September isn’t particularly a good month to cruise due to it being the month that is the beginning of hurricane season.
The fall is quickly gaining popularity among brides as being one of the favorite times of the year to get married. September (tied with October) is one of the top five favorite months for weddings. With the holidays around the corner, this month gives you much to celebrate.
This month, I look forward to sharing with you anniversary ideas, fashion tips to keep you on every best-dressed list, all things wedding, and much, much more.
