Wedding Season is here and what better way to begin than with a Pop Up Wedding??? Yes, Sociably Yours successfully planned its first ever Pop Up Wedding in Fayetteville, North Carolina in early April.
What is a Pop Up Wedding? We are defining a Pop Up Wedding as a short, simply elegant wedding ceremony for the happy couple and a few friends and family. A Pop Up Wedding is similar to an elopement but without the suprise element for all involved.
So when we got the call from the church to assist with their first ever wedding of a military couple who wished to be wed in two weeks (not a typo, TWO weeks planning time) we picked ourselves up of the floor and got to planning!
Our first item of business was to reach out to the bride and groom to get the particulars of the day. Because they are military, this was a little more difficult than normal. We were able to speak with our bride via text to get an idea of color scheme and style (thank you technology). Remotely planning a wedding is a specialty of Sociably Yours. With the ceremony being so intimate, we enlisted the assistance of a local florist and a family friend provided the photography. We communicated via email with our couple to provide the timeline of the wedding ceremony and the rehearsal itinerary.
Wedding weekend arrived and so did we, with copies of our rehearsal itinerary and ceremony timeline. The excitment of a wedding is contagious. Rehearsal went as smoothly as the wedding day. Everyone was in their respective places on time and we began promptly.
So many moments made this wedding special including the bridesmaid singing the bride down the aisle to the Hawaiian tradition of the father placing leis on the bride and groom. Our favorite moment will be that we got to be Sociably Yours to a beautiful couple who are serving our country for us to continue to live in the land of the free. We are forever grateful to Eunice and David for their service to our country and for reminding us that it doesn't take an elaborate budget to have a beautiful wedding day. If you have love and a really detailed wedding planner, you will have a day that is unforgettable.
Congratulations Eunice and David! We wish you a lifetime of wedded bliss!
Now you can bet that our week will be AMAZING if we get an opportunity to stop by the Fox 8 studio and share our Sociably Yours tips. With Mardi Gras being today, we stopped by yesterday to share a few easy tips for a celebration at home.
Celebrated around the world annually, Mardi Gras is a Carnival celebration also referred to as Fat Tuesday, reflecting the practice of eating richer fatty foods before the season of Lent. Sociably Yours is here with some easy ways to create your own Mardi Gras celebration.
We featured Bourbon Street Chicken, Mardi Gras Pasta Salad, King Cake Cupcakes and of course a signature Carnival Cocktail!
Mardi Gras Pasta Salad
1 pound of fusilli pasta
½ cup of shredded purple cabbage
1 cup whole kernel corn
2 tablespoons butter
½ cup finely chopped green onions

Cook the pasta in boiling water according to package directions. Drain thoroughly and place in a large mixing bowl.
In a skillet, melt the butter and sauté the corn for two or three minutes. Add the corn, cabbage and green onions to the pasta. Add the mayonnaise, a little at a time and toss to coat evenly. Add the mustard, salt and pepper. Toss gently.

Every season, every celebration, we are Sociably Yours! We LOVE great events and we recently had the opportunity to put one together feauturing our signature cosmetic line, the PS Collection by Sociably Yours.
Beauty & Bellini's was held on Saturday, February 11 in the beautiful Loft of the W on Elm in downtown Greensboro. A newer edition to the downtown area, the W on Elm is home to amazing views that served as a gorgeous backdrop to our signature event. We worked closely with the staff to provide a signature brunch menu as well as a signature cocktail-The Bellini. We offered two flavors of our signature cocktail, peach and raspberry. Guests were allowed to drink, dine and be divas as they shopped the mid-morning away.
When designing the concept of the event, we reached out to our stationery designer for the ideal logo to help brand the event. It was important for us to define this event as a way of life that should be embraced by all women daily. We then reached out to female entrepreneurs to be a part of our beauty movement, lol. As a Pop Up Shop style event, we feautured some amazing vendors while creating the ultimate beauty event for a ladies morning out. Our vendors were able to provide you with your complete look to make you look and feel beautiful. From skin care by independent MaryKay consultant Taunya Monroe, to fashion from Outclassed Boutique to accessories from Butterfly Button's. Your completed look would definately include a signature lip color from the PS Collection by Sociably Yours.
The Lipstick Lounge created by Sociably Yours feautured the newest colors of the PS Collection-Mink Lipstick. Mink Lipstick is VIP (Very Intense Pigmented) colors created exclusively for the PS Collection by Sociably Yours by our designer Araneetae Guy. The two colors-Crush on You (red) and Spellbound (purple) are already consumer favorite. The intensity of the color, the long staying and matte look of the Mink lip colors are just some reasons why it is a best seller.
The PS Collection by Sociably Yours is highly successful due to events like this, where we can be upclose and intimate and receive feedback so that we can continue to create attention garnering colors. A special thank you to the vendors who participated-Butterfly Buttons, Outclassed Boutique, and Taunya Monroe of MaryKay. Thank you to the staff of the W on Elm. A HUGE thank you to everyone who attended the Beauty & Bellini's event and please stay tuned to find out the date and location of the next event.

We are fans of football. So while our team is not playing in the big game, we along with millions of others will be tuned in to see who will be the winner.
With an event so huge, we were honored to be able to stop by our favorite local news station and give some great entertaining tips.
We focused on creating a match up with our dishes by presenting some of the fan favorite foods from both teams-Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots. The fun we had bringing things together and learning things in the process.
Our main dish featured Kickin Ckicken Wings and Boston Baked Beans with Maple Glazed Bacon. The highlight of this segment was a fan food favorite by the station's very own Meteorolgist Van Denton, Bacon Wrapped Pretzels! We also shared our Sideline Sweets and our very own Sociably Yours Halftime Punch.
Super Bowl Parties have come a long way since the days of pizza and footlong sandwiches. No matter what you plan on serving as long as you have good food and enjoy your fellowship, you will have an evening of fun!
Check out our segment below? What team are you cheering for?
Happy New Year! Yes, we are into a new year and we are so thankful. THANK YOU for an absolutely amazing 2016.
We were able to celebrate so many milestones and of course beautiful weddings. From the first birthday to the first dance, we have been there for it all. We are so grateful to have the most beautiful clients and appreciate the opportunity to be Sociably Yours.
We also accomplished so much within 2016 by continuing our features on Fox 8 WGHP with our entertaining tips as well as being featured with an online blog All Seated sharing our entertaining point of view.
We have high expectations of 2017 and so far it has not disappointed. We recently celebrated our 1st year of the PS Collection by Sociably Yours with lots of kisses. And continued the celebration by being awarded the Wedding Wire Couples Choice Award 2017. This award is given to the top five percent of the wedding professionals on Wedding Wire. We are truly humbled by the honor.
So.....we have so much more planned for 2017! We are going to keep it going with THE ultimate beauty event just in time for Valentine's Day, Beauty and Bellini's. And of course many more weddings and celebrations. Please stay with us on our beautiful journey.
With many thanks!

On November 18, we hosted our first ever Holiday Pop Up Shop at the beautiful Elizabeth House in downtown High Point, North Carolina. The charm and elegance of this location made for the perfect backdrop for this event.
A lot of planning and preparation went into creating this amazing night. We knew that we needed to create an evening that would get guests in the holiday spirit just in time for the beginning of the holiday season.
At Sociably Yours, we genuinely love what we do and we surrounded ourselves with other amazing vendor friends equally as passionate about what they do as well. We created the ultimate shopping experience by sharing the evening with Butterfly Button's, LouLou Belle Pottery and Subira Boutique. These vendors were able to provide shoppers with uniquely beautiful gifts to give or keep for themselves.
All of our events provide a signature element, our signature element for the evening was a Pop Bar. Our Pop Bar was well stocked with all things "pop." We created the Pop Bar with custom created marquee letters that spelled out Pop Bar. We visited Popcorn Fanatics in Winston-Salem for delicious flavors along with custom cake pops from Custom Services and Creations by D. We also included soda pop and fruit infused water.
A great time was had by all and we are already looking forward to our next Pop Up Shop. Stay tuned to find out where we will pop up next.

We are so pleased to introduce to you the PS Collection by Sociably Yours!
The PS (Page Stroud) Collection is a collection of custom blended, long-wearing, high pigmented statement lip colors.
With so many options on the market for lip colors, Stroud set out to work with beauty industry maven and friend licensed aesthetician Araneetae Guy of Sweet Air Cosmetics, to create a collection of beautiful colors that look beautiful on every shade of every woman.
A fashionista, Nichols Stroud has created a signature style all her own. It seemed very natural when she contacted Guy to begin this journey. "It's still surreal that I have my very own collection of lip colors," giggles Page Nichols Stroud. "I love the confidence that I, we as women get when we know we look good. Applying a statement lip color that is sure to turn heads, well who wouldn't want to do that?" Each color is custom blended by Araneetae Guy with complete input from Page. "We go back and forth via text, email, phone calls, whatever it takes until we know we have what I am envisioning. Even when I receive the colors I'm still in awe of how gorgeous they are."
The PS Collection consists of lipglosses, matte lipsticks, and matte liquid lip colors. In colors from pinks, reds, nudes, shimmers and rich glamorous purples, the collection has something for everyone. The names of the lip colors also give the people something to talk about as well. With names like "Cheers" and "The Applause," you will want to have one of every color in your bag.
Having hosted a few smaller events to introduce the collection, Sociably Yours is looking forward to hosting their first Holiday Pop Up Shop at the intimately beautiful JH Adams Inn in downtown High Point. The Holiday Pop Up Shop will feauture the signature colors of the collection, new colors for the season and other wonderful vendors to create the ultimate shopping experience. The Holiday Pop Up Shop is scheduled for Friday, November 18. Immediately following the Pop Up Shop, Shop Sociably on the sociablyyours.com website will be live.
Our journey just got more colorful so stay tuned!

Deciding what to wear can be a daunting task but decided what to wear to an industry conference with your peers, frightening!
I had the pleasure of attenting the annual Wedding MBA Conference in Las Vegas last week. This was my first time attending along with many of other industry friends so I was kinda on my own with determining what will make the wardrobe cut.
Wedding planners are extremely creative and stylish individuals so my attire for the week needed to reflect that and then some, lol. As any good traveler does, I looked at the weather report. Every day was packed full of sunshine but not to be fooled, conference centers tend to only have one climate, cold.
In packing I do try to establish my color palette as to limit myself in the amount of shoes and accessories I must then chose from. I went with classic blue and black and build my wardrobe from there. As I reveiwed the itinerary for the days I determined that I must have a look for the day and a look for the evening, in the event we decided to go out on the town.
I selected dresses primarily for this conference because lets face it, I LOVE dresses! Dresses are my favorite go-to and require less effort to create the polished look that I strive to present. I kept it simple with the footwear and chose my Coach flats to ensure I was stylish AND comfortable. I accesorized my outfits with pearls, big hair and signature lip colors from the PS Collection by Sociably Yours for the ultimate polished Sociably Yours look.
So when getting ready for your next conference trip, keep these tips in mind
Hello from Page
